Short description

Perfectly located in central Vienna, in a calm and quiet street inside the Guertel, the hostel offers cosy twins and triple rooms, as well as small dorms.

The hotel is only an 8 minute walk to the Ring. Our rooms are clean and sunny, well equipped with closets wardrobes and bathrooms. There are no bunk beds.

There is also internet access and a kitchen at your disposal, both free of charge, as well as a travel desk, elevator and 24 hour reception.

Our multilingual staff are happy to provide you with all the information you need. They'll point out for you the must see places and monuments, the best restaurants and all the greatest pubs, bars and discos in the city.

And after a long day you're more than welcome to relax in our comfortable common room, have a drink, play table-football, watch a DVD and swap stories with the staff and other backpackers.

Hotel information

The Alibi Hostel is the newest hostel in Vienna. The building, which throughout the whole year works as a student hotel, changes into a hostel which is run by our relatively young company.

The building is open from 1st July until 31 of August.

Area information

The hostel is located in the centre of Vienna. The very city centre is within walking distance. If you want to get there by public transport, you'll can walk just a few minutes to get to the Shottentor and Währingerstrasse Volksoper underground stops.

Tourists information

From the Westbahnhof train station:
Take the Subway line number U6 in the direction of Floridsdorf. Get off at the 6th stop (Waehringerstrasse - Volksoper). Use the exit in the direction of Fuchtshallergasse. Go straight ahead and turn right in the Wilhelm-Exner Gasse. After a few meters you'll find the Alibi Hostel.

From The Suedtiroler Platz Busbahnhof (Bus Station):
Take the Subway number U1 in the direction of Kagran. On the 2nd stop (Karlsplatz) change to U2 and go in the direction of Schottenring. Get off at the 4th stop (Shottentor Universitaet). Get off in the direction of Waehringerstrasse. Walk along the Waehringerstrasse and after a few minutes turn left in the Wilhelm-Exner-Gasse.

From the Vienna International Airport:
Take the a bus from The Bus Services Vienna Airport Lines. Get off at the Westbahnhof in Vienna. Than take the Subway line number U6 in the direction of Floridsdorf. After a few metres you'll find the Alibi Hostel.

Cancellation policy

Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled later or in case of no-show, no fee will be charged.

Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome.
All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.
All children from 3 to 12 years are charged 50 % of the room stay per night and person when using existing bedding.
One child under 4 years stays free of charge when using existing bedding.
Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.

Deposit Policy: No deposit will be charged.

VAT and city/tourist taxes: VAT is included.
Service charge is included.
City/tourist tax is not applicable.

Internet: Wired internet is available in the entire hotel and is free of charge.

Meal Plan: Breakfast is not included and costs EUR 15.00 per person.

Parking: No parking available.

Pets: Pets are allowed on request. Charges may be applicable.
