The centrally located and comfortable Hotel Congress was built in 1900 as the Hotel Riva, it already housed the guests of Emperor Franz Joseph at the time.

The Hotel Congress offers the typical austrian cosy atmosphere with the flair of the captial of music and culture.

All our rooms are furnished traditionally and equally they offer all modern comfort.

Because of the equipment and the location of the hotel, it is suitable for business guests as well as for city tourists.

Hotel information

We are a centrally located 3 stars hotel. The Hotel was built in 1900 as the HOTEL RIVA, and has hosted many famous guests. One of the guests was Franz Kafka who met Milena here in 1917 (Letters to Milena).

Tradition and Viennese hospitality personify our family hotel located close to the centre of Vienna and opposite the main railway station. Our attentive staff and our high standard of service will give you an understanding of the friendly and harmonic Viennese atmosphere throughout your stay.

The American breakfast buffet is served in the restaurant from 06:00 to 10:00.

Area information

Hotel Congress is located in opposite the main railway station (Südbahnhof).

Within walking distance are the old town centre, Schloss Belvedere and the famous Schweizer Garten.

A underground (metro) stop is located next to the Hotel.

Tourists information

Hotel Congress is also comfortably accessible by car using the Autobahn exit "Landstrasser Hauptstrasse" on the "Gürtel" (Belt Parkway) direction "Südbahnhof" (South Railway Station). There is a public parking lot directly across the street (at the reception desk, you will get the reduced parking ticket).

From the Airport: - Bus from the APT Vienna to Südbahnhof,
afterwards 2 minutes walking distance (35 minutes)

From the Südbahnhof (South Railway Station): 2 minutes walking
distance.

From the Westbahnhof (West Railway Station): Tram Nr. 18 to
Südtiroler Platz, afterwards 2 minutes walking distance
(15 minutes).

From the Nordbahnhof (North Railway Station): Underground Nr. 1
to Südtiroler Platz (15 minutes).

From the City Centre: Underground Nr. 1 to Südtiroler Platz
(5 minutes)

Remarks

The hotel's rooms are not accessible to disabled guests.
