Surrounded by mountains in the health resort Villach, in the center of the pedestrian zone lies the “Romantik Hotel Post”. With the day and night permission to drive to the hotel`s guarded car park our guests enjoy the advantages of a hotel in the city with its many offers. The historical building was built around 1500 and disposes of comfortable, quiet rooms with view to the garden.

All our rooms have individual fitments and they all dispose of bath/shower, toilet and satellite TV, speed-dial telephones, minibar and hairdryer.

The wellness-area is at our guests disposal at no charge.

Food and beverages

The "Cityrestaurant" provides the exquisite cuisine (2 crowns in the “a la carte” guide) of the Alpine Adriatic region. From lunch to a more course dinner the dishes are served in a stylish ambience. Selected dishes from fish to carinthian specialities gurantee a palatal delight . To that we serve selected wines from Austria and Italy. The list of beverages provides the proper for each taste.

Our cafè is a meeting place for young and old. In fine weather our garden invites you to stay for a while and when it rains there is enough space to escape inside. Above all our home made bakery and the rich offer of snacks and delicious coffees are reason enough to drop in. In the cold season we have various hot drinks ready for you.

Tourists information

The almost completed highway network allows effective connections into four directions (Klagenfurt – Graz – Vienna; Salzburg – Munich, Udinese – Trieste/Mestre – Milano; Lubljiana – Zagreb).

In European terms the Villach region is an intersection of two important international connections to the northern Adriatic Sea and the upper-italian industrial region on the one hand and towards south-east Europe on the other hand.

Cancellation policy

Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged.

Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome.
All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.
All children under 6 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.
All children from 6 to 12 years are charged 50 % of the room stay per night and person when using existing bedding.
Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.
