The "Wasnerin" in Bad Aussee is a hotel with great tradition: the origins of the hotel can be traced back to the 15th century.
The historical house, which is a protected, listed building, forms the heart of the hotel. With a view of the Dachstein on one side and a view of the Loser mountain on the other, surrounded by a golf course – the Wasnerin is enchantingly situated with an open panoramic view as is only to be found in Bad Aussee. Guests from all over the world, seeking a place to recuperate and to relax and wishing to do something positive for their wellbeing will benefit positively from the enchanting surroundings.

Gourmet wishes of all kinds are fulfilled in the homely restaurant, which is divided into six cosy rooms. One can fully enjoy the wonderful view of the Dachstein Glacier and imposing Ausseerland mountains on the restaurant's garden terrace.

A theme buffet alternates with a four-course menu, as well as a weekly gala dinner, predominantly prepared with healthy, regional produce.

The Aussee afternoon snack “Vital Jause” of typical regional specialities satisfies an intermediate appetite. An excellent selection of top Austrian wines, and international wine varieties, ensure perfect complementary enjoyment. Your special diet and nutritional wishes will also naturally be fulfilled at all times.

In the heart of Austria in the idyllic landscape of the Ausseerland, on a unique plateau location and a wonderful view of the imposing mountain backdrop. Immediately adjacent to one of the loveliest golf courses in the Alps in the summer, and right next to the cross-country trails in the winter.

The cultivation of customs and traditions play a very important role among the inhabitants of the Ausseerland. Chamois-hair hat decoration, the dirndl and lederhosen, dialect, songs, music and dance are naturally a part of it all. Guests find great pleasure to experience first hand such vital customs.
