The 4-star Alpen Wellnesshotel Barbarahof features elegant but functional design. You will have a cosy home-from-home to return to after a day on the slopes, mountain climbing or sailing. The hotel is ideally located next to the beginner’s ski lift and the ski school. The picturesque village of Kaprun is situated on the doorway to the National Park Hohe Tauern, directly at the foot of the impressive glacier skiing area, Kitzsteinhorn.

If your muscles are aching after all that activity, soak in our indoor pool, submerge in the jacuzzi or unwind with a massage or one of the many other treatments that are on offer in our wellness centre.

A delicious prelude for an eventful day: a breakfast buffet including wholefood natural products. Spend the afternoons in the Salettl bar or on the terrace with garden while enjoying a nice cup of coffee or a glass of Pils beer from the barrel to refresh yourself.

During the winter you can enjoy an après-ski snack. In the evenings we serve a 5-course meal of your choice with salad, an appetiser’s buffet and cheese specialities. Once a week we offer the famous and traditional gala dinner.

- Coming from Zell an See or Mittersill take the Pinzgauer Bundesstraße B
168, direction of Fürth and Kaprun.
- At the roundabout in Fürth drive in the direction of Kaprun.
- Follow the road for about 1,8 km.
- At the BMW dealer and Shell garage turn left into Kaprun.
- Drive past club Baumbar and continue on Sigmund-Thuns-Straße for about
500 metres.
- Cross over the bridge onto Nikolaus-Gassner Straße.
- Follow the road until you see the hotel on the left hand side.
